4 Ways to Celebrate Libra Season

As summer turns to fall, the astrological calendar turns from the confident Leo and perfectionist Virgo to the empathetic Libra.

Those in the Libra astrological sign of the Zodiac are born between September 23 and October 23. Libra is symbolized by scales, so those bearing this horoscope are balanced and have a desire for harmony. Libra will be the peacemaker in the group, and is well-mannered and loving.

Libras need to feel a sense of peace, making them amazing negotiators. But they also hate unbalance, therefore they hate to rock the boat. That can make a Libra a people pleaser, indecisive and overly appeasing.

Libra is also an air sign, making them sociable, rational, and detached when dealing with situations.

It has also been said that Libra is the sign in which the seasons are balanced, as the hours of the day and the hours of the night match each other when the seasons change and we pass through the equinox.

As we move into the time of Libras, here are 4 Ways How to Celebrate Libra Season:

1. Autumn celebrations

Make your own harvest festival, sometimes called Mabon. The beginning of Libra season is also the time of the autumn equinox, which is when the sun crosses the Earth's celestial equator. This marks one of the two times of year—the other being in March—when day and night are of approximately equal length. That’s part of the balance of Libra season.

To celebrate the autumn equinox, take advantage of the fall harvest and celebrate with a family get-together. Autumn vegetables like squash and fruits like pumpkin (yes, it’s a fruit) can be the stars of the menu. Or, take a walk in the woods to enjoy the fall foliage.

2. Prepare for shorter days

Those balanced days and nights will soon become the short days and long nights of the winter months. Make this the time to prepare for winter months. Some people find those dark days difficult to handle, and suffer from what’s called Seasonal Affective Disorder.

Plan now to add activities that will ward off those winter blues: a daily walk, an exercise plan, a weekly get-together with friends, or light therapy in the form of a light box or a relaxing Self Love candle in your home.

3. Find your inner balance

It’s not just Libras who can benefit from balance of the mind and body. Meditation will aid your inner balance and yoga helps with mental and physical  balance—and not just through balance-challenging poses!

Meditation relieves anxiety, pain, and depression, lowers blood pressure, and adds spiritual purpose by boosting creativity, intuition, and connection with your inner self. Yoga aids with stress, improves sleep, boosts energy and mood, promotes self-care and provides a number of other health benefits. Create a quiet space in your home during Libra season, so you can find inner and outer balance all year long.

4. Light it up
